In addition to the primary election in advance of the November Congressional midterm election, the Essex County Democratic Committee is also electing members on June 2 to join the municipal Democratic committees.

If you are interesting in running for a District Leader position on the Verona Democratic Committee, this is the time! The process for running for Verona Democratic Committee & Requesting the Essex County Democratic Committee Slogan is outlined below.

 

Step 1: Get petition from Verona Municipal Clerk, Jennifer Kiernan, at the municipal building. Petitions are already available!

 

Step 2: Get signatures (we recommend more than the required amount) from registered Democrats in your district. 

• Take a picture of your completed petition sheet

• Petitions are due 3/23, but we strongly recommend submitting early 

• If you are proceeding with Step 3, submit your petition by 3/11
   

Step 3 (optional): To request the Essex County Democratic Committee slogan to appear with your name on the ballot, please fill out this form by 3/11.

        Note: this form is ONLY for individuals seeking their first term on the Verona Democratic Committee. Incumbents need not fill out.

 

Step 4: Anyone who applies for the ECDC slogan will be notified by the Verona Democratic Committee leadership by 3/20.
